When you ask couples, the first decision they make when planning a wedding is choosing the date. Seemingly simple enough, the challenge in picking your date, is finding the venue you want available for that date. In order to check that off of the list, couples may have to book their venue well over a year in advance, especially if they have chosen a “hot date.”
Take the following things into consideration when booking a venue:
(1) Does the venue have a good plan B in case of rain for my ceremony? If you book 1840s Plaza the answer is YES!
1840s Ballroom accommodates 150 people for a ceremony then the same space can be flipped for the reception. If you prefer not to flip the room, you may choose 1840s City Lites or 1840s Cabaret as a back up ceremony space.
(2) Is valet parking or free on site parking included in my rental? If you book 1840s Plaza the answer is YES!
1840s Ballroom includes valet parking with every rental Friday- Sunday.
(3) Are tables and chairs included in my rental? If you book 1840s Plaza the answer is YES!
Other venues do not include tables and chairs so this would be an additional expense.
(4) Will the venue supply any security or event staff? If you book 1840s Plaza the answer is YES!
1840s Plaza provides two security guards at both the front and back of the building to ensure the safety of your vendors and guests. To assist you throughout the day, an 1840s Event Specialist stands by to make sure your day is flawless.
After contracting your venue for your preferred date, then you can begin selecting other vendors which make your wedding day uniquely you. Most venues have a preferred list of caterers so that would be the next step.
